     Kathy Hlad has been around Slovenian polkas & waltzes her entire life.
At an early age she was the star pupil of the late great Frank Novak and her playing was influenced by the music of Slak, Pecon, Trebar, Habat, Vadnal, and Bass. She has been teaching button box since she was fifteen and twice won the button box player of the year award at the Cleveland Style Polka Music Hall of Fame. Cleveland Style polkas & waltzes are presented here with accompaniment of sax, banjo/guitar, bass, drums & keyboards.

     In the summer of 1970, Al Meixner & Joe Weber, from Coplay, PA organized this group of young musicians solely for the purpose of recording these two albums. They are life long friends, life long musicians and they had a unique mixture of Austrian, German, Slovenian & Croatian music. They never played one gig (until 11/16/2008) but their albums took the polka world by storm. Now you can have the entire repertoire of this all star band on one totally remastered CD. (Contains 12 instrumentals, 5 German vocals,
