ATTENTION, ATTENTION !!! Al Meixner Music curates a rather interesting
library of music from Austria, Germany, Slovenia, and many other countries. I
have accrued this library from my trips around the USA and around the world and
also from individuals who have contributed to this ever-growing collection in an
effort to preserve these cultures. There is no charge to anyone who wishes to
use the library. If anyone wants to use the resources of my library or wishes to
contribute recordings, music sheets or books, please contact me by mail, phone or e-mail.
About Me ...........
I started in music at
age
three when I would stand on a chair so I could reach
the microphone and
sing with the band that featured the four Meixner brothers -
Leo,
Albert, Carl and my dad, Alfred (Skeeter). That was in the
early 1950s.
My entire life has been music - performing polkas, international folk, classical, rock, pop and jazz. The end of 2007 marked the end of my performing career. I've been recording, producing, marketing and merchandising all kinds of music projects for more than fourty-four wonderful years.
The fantastic people that make up my musical family are, without a doubt, the best people in the world. Thanks to all of you who share my passion for music of all kinds. I hope I can help to put music in the lives of people through my mail order catalog and my recording studio.
In closing I ask you to
sing, whistle or hum a song every day.....
..... you'll make someone happy! :-) Al
